Taking Screen Shots
Acorn has the ability to take screen shots, even if Acorn is not the active application. (The shortcut key to take screen shots is command-shift-6. You can change the shortcut key in the Preferences window).
When you press the Command-Shift-6, Acorn will take over your screen and allow you to crop out which sections of the screen you would like to capture:
Double clicking (or pressing enter) will take the selection and make a new image in Acorn for you:
This is a great way to take a shot of something on the screen, sketch on it to elaborate or emphasize, and save it back out. Check out the
Tips and Tricks section for an example.
