Rotating the Canvas
How to rotate your canvas.
Under Image ▸ Rotate Canvas there are three options for rotating the canvas: 90º Clockwise (⌘+]), 90º Counter-Clockwise (⌘+[ ) , and Free Rotate.

You can easily rotate your image by hitting ⌘ and the bracket keys ( [ or ] ), or you may wish to Free Rotate your image.
Unlike the other rotate commands, Free Rotate allows you to set the image at any angle in the canvas. When you select Free Rotate, a circle will appear in the center of your image. This is the rotation point for your image.

To rotate the image, click and drag around the canvas. The size of the canvas will adjust to the angle of your image. Once you have it in place, double-click on the image to release it.

You may also use the Rotate Canvas palette, which appears when you use the Rotate Canvas command
